MY workstation while the kiddos are still sleeping :)
I have my tread all loaded and ready to go.
Wish me luck I'm starting to sew Cate's skirt!

The below two pictures represent the two sections of Cate's skirt. I'm stating to sew the front and back parts of the bottom of the skirt, piece #5, then I will move onto piece #8 which is the waste band.
Oh no, problems from the start. The next two pictures represent trouble I ran into from the beginning.
I think it has something to do with the thread that is under the needle...here come the manual, need to read it again.

Problem solved! I sewed piece #8 & piece #5, now I'm stuck again.
I will ask Tiffany for guidance tomorrow at CSUSM. :)
Reading the patter is MUCH more difficult than I ever thought.

Here is what I've accomplished! I'm very proud of myself but again, I cannot visualize how these two pieces come together and the directions on the pattern are VERY vague and I'm stuck. I'm bringing in my supplies to Tiffany and I know she will get me started again!
I have the 6 steps that are shaded below to complete Cate's skirt, I'm almost there!
I left the sewing for a couple of hours and while I was showing Cate my progress I think I figured out my next move! ...but before I begin to sew I'm going to talk to Tiffany tomorrow to double check with an expert!
